The MPRS enhances weapon precision to improve lethality and incapacitation, providing infantry squads with counter-defilade airburst capability and effective engagement with lightly protected targets and targets inside structures.

The system features a small and lightweight ﬁre control system with laser range ﬁnder, multi-purpose ammunition and human-machine interface (HMI). The MPRS can be upgraded to systems that use low velocity 40mm grenade ammunition.
The Fire Control System (FCS) enables day target acquisition, direct view optics and a ballistic computer. The integrated laser range ﬁnder (LRF) is eye-safe and invisible, and the optics and LRF are sighted to barrel. The ﬁre control system has a sight for 40mm ammunition.

The MPRS is equipped with a highly lethal fragmentation warhead and a built-in self-destruct mechanism. The multi-mode programmable electronic fuze operates in three modes: Air-Burst (AB), Point Detonation (PD) and Point Detonation Delayed (PDD).

The MPRS features simple keypad operation to enable mode selection and fuzing, aim point computation, data interface and swift transition to/from AB to small arms ammunition.
