MTV flares against IR heat-seeking missiles
Elbit Systems MTV flares protect aircraft against infrared (IR) heat-seeking missiles.
The flares are used on a wide range of aircraft and helicopters against the threat of airto-
air and surface-to-air heat-seeking missiles.
FG-2 is a unique flare with two half-size pellets, designed to enhance aircraft protection by loading double the number of flares in every dispenser. Featuring excellent high energetic properties, the flare effectively defeats heat-seeking missiles.
Combat-proven record and protection
Elbit Systems MTV flares are in operational use worldwide, including the Israeli Air Force (IAF). Reliable and effective, FG-2 is fully compatible in fit to all advanced Western dispensing systems such as ALE 40/47, WIZARDS and others. The flare has a double shot squib operated by two voltages.
