The vehicle can be specially configured for a wide range of missions, delivering high maneuverability and enhanced survivability, with advanced armor protection against small firearms and under-body blasts.

The Musketeer 4x4 protected MLAV can be manufactured in various configurations for military and para-military use. The multi-mission platform is equipped for a wide range of operations, including maintaining public order, peace-keeping missions, border patrol, observation and surveillance, and protection against criminal activities, such as illegal hunting (Anti poaching tasks).

The Musketeer’s all-welded steel-armored body offers high-level 360° protection for both vehicle and crew.
The vehicle provides all around STANAG 4569 Level-1 ballistic protection from a distance of 30m and elevation angle of 30°, including the engine compartment. Featuring an armored capsule for crew protection, the passenger compartment has five firing ports and a protected roof hatch. The floor is protected against hand grenades, with optional protection at the same level for the fuel tanks.
Run-flat inserts system enables an additional 50km driving capability when tires are punctured. Optional add-on armor protection upgrade to Level 3 is available (6x6 version).

Based on the reliable heavy-duty 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, the Musketeer easily maneuvers on dirt roads and in urban environments, with excellent cross country
capabilities. The combat-ready vehicle features wide doors to enable fast deployment, and is designed for optimal operational effectiveness.
The interior is designed for operating comfort, safety and effectiveness, with space for a crew of 5-6 and cargo. The wide crew compartment is equipped with comfortable seats and a powerful air conditioning system, and the driver station is ergonomically designed.

System components

The Musketeer features standard and optional systems based on mission and application requirements. Systems include a remote controlled weapon station, long-range day/night surveillance system, driver night sight, navigation system, BMS–tactical command and control, and radio communication. The vehicle features special facilities for C4I systems. The 4x4 vehicle is available in left hand and right hand drive versions.

Remote Controlled Weapon Station

The Musketeer features a 7.62/12.7mm remote controlled weapon Station (RCWS). The system delivers accurate target destruction, operated by a gunner inside the armor protected vehicle. The RCWS enables automatic target tracking with an ammunition capacity of 460 rounds. The system is fully compatible with Elbit Systems’ BMS, laser warning system (LWS), sighting and observation complex, and additional features and configurations.
