In combat flights, pilots must maintain visibility of what is happening outside the cockpit, while also keeping their eyes on the critical information displayed inside the cockpit. JHMCS-II enables pilots to do both at once, by displaying critical data from inside the cockpit directly in front of the pilot, intuitively and in plain sight.

Off-boresight target engagement

By slaving the missile to the pilot’s 360° line-of-sight, the missile’s engagement envelope is expanded beyond the field of view of the HUD, FCR and IRST.

Display of threats

A/A and A/G threats are displayed in real time, supporting the pilot’s decision-making process and initiating self-defense activities and counter attacks.

Weaponry status

Based on predefined logical rules, critical information is delivered in a way that attracts the pilot’s attention. For example, when a pilot switches to Dog Fight mode, a red ARM message will blink until the weapon master is switched to ARM.

Display of targeting pod video (optional)

The Laser Designation Pod (LDP) video can be displayed, enabling the pilot to verify the target, while maintaining the flight path.

Flight data

All relevant flight and mission data is displayed in either a numeric, alphabetic or graphic manner. Some information is continuously displayed (such as baro altitude), while other information is presented in specific mission modes (A/A, A/G, NAV, Land, etc.).

HMD target acquisition

The Laser Designation Pod (LDP) can be slaved to the pilot’s line-of-sight for a simple, instant switch between A/G targets.

Display of blue force DL (DataLink)

Visual indication of Blue Force formation is displayed, including all formation members, their position and a Target Locator Line (TLL) for the entire formation, or a specific member.

Display of DL (DataLink) A/A targets

Data Link information is intuitively displayed in a clear, visual manner and is available to the pilot at all times.
