SLING

The rapidly deployed 120mm mortar system enables quick response and enhanced survivability, in and out of action within 30 – 60 - seconds, with shoot and scoot capabilities. Sling is easily operated by a 2 – 4 person crew.

SLING features an accurate automatic laying system and allows a firing azimuth of 220° (±110), with an onboard fire control system that delivers INS precision better than 1 mil. The mortar system is ground deployed in firing position; firing recoil forces are transmitted to the ground to prevent transmission to the vehicle.

SLING delivers massive firepower at 16 bombs per minute, with a sustained rate of 3 – 4 bombs per minute and a firing range of up to 7km (with standard ammunition – M933 or equivalent). The mortar system is suitable for use with all types of qualified 120mm smoothbore ammunition.
