Elbit Systems was selected by the Israeli MoD to provide the Israeli Air Force with a fleet of Grob G-120A aircraft used as screening and elementary training aircraft. The 20 year contract is delivered through a Private Finance Initiative (PFI).
Elbit Systems was also selected to provide the Israeli Air Force’s Beechcraft T-6A aircraft fleet including maintenance and availability support. Elbit Systems was selected to provide the Israeli Air Force Leonardo M-346 jet fleet with a Power By the Hour (PBH) supply chain solution. Contracted for 22 years, Elbit is providing Performance Based Logistics (PBL).
Elbit Systems provides maintenance and logistic support to the Israeli Air Force flight academy’s helicopter squadron, operating B206 helicopters that will be replaced by AW119 helicopters in the near future.

FAQ

What is a military pilot training solution?

A military pilot training solution is a comprehensive framework that combines aircraft, simulators, instructors, training systems, curriculum development, maintenance, logistics, and operational support to train military aviators from initial screening through advanced operational readiness.

What does Elbit Systems' Military Pilot Training Solution include?

The solution includes candidate screening, flight instruction, advanced jet training, Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS), Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) training, aircraft operations, maintenance, logistics support, and flight academy establishment services.

What is Advanced Jet Training (AJT)?

Advanced Jet Training prepares pilots for operational aircraft by combining advanced avionics, mission training systems, debriefing tools, and simulation technologies that replicate complex combat environments.

What is Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) training?

LVC training connects live aircraft with virtual and constructive training environments, enabling pilots to train against simulated entities and practice complex mission scenarios that would be difficult or costly to recreate in live exercises.

How do Ground Based Training Systems improve pilot training?

Ground Based Training Systems allow pilots to develop procedural, tactical, and mission skills through simulation and rehearsal before entering operational flight training. This improves efficiency and reduces training costs.

How does simulation-based training reduce costs?

Simulation and virtual training environments allow air forces to conduct advanced mission training with reduced aircraft flight hours while maintaining training effectiveness and operational realism.
