The company will present a selection of its state of the art systems, including the locally produced Watchkeeper XR UAV, turret and mortar systems, alongside the Seagull USV, advanced air and land electronic warfare solutions, as well as digitization and C4I technologies, among others.
Elbit Systems Ltd. will participate in the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace (BSDA) exhibition in Romania in 2026.
Elbit Systems has been a leading player in Romania’s defense industrial base for many years, serving as a long standing supplier to the Ministry of National Defense. The company currently operates seven facilities across Romania, reflecting its strong and growing local presence. With a workforce of approximately 1,000 people in Romania, Elbit Systems continues to expand its local footprint and industrial partnerships across the country.
Over the years, the company has supported various modernization programs for the Romanian Armed Forces, including projects for the Air Force (MiG 21 Lancer, PUMA SOCAT, IAR 99 Șoim, EW C130), Land Forces (LAROM, Piranha), and Naval Forces (Puma Naval and naval simulators). At BSDA 2026, Elbit Systems will present a wide range of advanced systems:
- Aerial Domain: Featuring the Watchkeeper XR UAV equipped with advanced payloads, alongside the SkyStriker loitering munition and Magni-X and Thor multi rotor drone families. The company will also display helmet mounted display systems, helicopter upgrade packages, airborne self protection suites, and air launched precision munitions.
- Naval Domain: Showcasing the Seagull unmanned surface vessel (USV), a multi mission platform designed for mine counter measures, anti-submarine warfare, and maritime security operations.
- Land and Multi Domain: Highlighting border protection concepts, ground electronic warfare (EW) capabilities, Counter UAS (C UAS) solutions, and C4I technologies that support digital transformation and networked battlefield operations.
Elmet: Advanced Locally Developed Land Systems
At the Elmet booth, visitors will see locally produced solutions, including displays of the 30 mm unmanned turret (the turret selected for the Romanian ‘Piranha V’), remotely controlled weapon stations, mortar systems, such as the Iron Sting precision mortar, as well as tank ammunition and other advanced land system capabilities.
