Elbit Systems Continues to Expand its Multi-Layered Naval Protection Capabilities to Counter Unmanned and Underwater Threats

Multi-Layered Naval Protection Suite

Combining electronic warfare, Counter-UxS, kinetic defense and underwater sensing into an integrated naval protection suite

Elbit Systems Ltd continues to expand its multi-layered naval protection suite. The suite reflects evolving naval protection requirements, addressing emerging unmanned systems and underwater threats.

As naval forces face increasingly complex operational environments, Elbit Systems offers an integrated protection approach combining electronic warfare, Counter-UxS technologies, kinetic defense and underwater sensing capabilities into a unified naval protection suite. The portfolio’s modular architecture enables customers to deploy standalone capabilities or integrated multi-layered solutions according to operational requirements.

Multi-Layered Naval Protection Portfolio

The portfolio includes Elbit Systems’ Aqua Marine naval electronic warfare solutions and DESEAVER Mk-4 countermeasure dispensing system, providing threat detection and electronic self-protection against radar-guided threats. These are complemented by the company’s GNSS jamming and spoofing solution, supporting non-kinetic disruption capabilities against navigation-dependent threats.

To address the growing threat posed by unmanned systems, Elbit Systems integrates counter-UAS capabilities combining the company’s DAiR radar, electro-optical sensors, electronic warfare and GNSS disruption technologies for detecting, tracking and disrupting aerial threats. These capabilities are complemented by kinetic defense solutions, based on the company’s 30mm highly accurate Naval Surface Gun and SkyBurst 30mm counter-UAS proximity fuse ammunition.

The suite also incorporates electro-optical systems from the SPECTRO XR family for maritime surveillance and target tracking, alongside naval weapon stations providing defensive firepower against surface and airborne threats.

Extending protection beneath the surface, Elbit Systems’ underwater portfolio includes the TRAPS (Towed Reelable Active Passive Sonar) family of sonars, supporting submarine and torpedo detection as well as Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS) capabilities, enhancing the overall naval protection envelope

Together, these capabilities provide an integrated and scalable multi-domain protection suite designed to address current and emerging maritime threats.
