Elbit Systems’ Gunner Sight Kit is an advanced thermal imaging upgraded solution for the TPN gunner’s night-vision periscope channel. The kit comes with an advanced 17ÎĽ 640×480 Uncooled Thermal Imaging Core,
a long-range 230mm focal length and 100mm aperture lens, a control panel with a built-in controller, and a new high-resolution OLED-based eyepiece. The controller provides target-distance estimation for improved
detection and recognition of targets, as well as setting the aiming point to assure accurate hitting of the target. Especially designed for enhanced gunner performance for tanks, it provides outstanding video-processing
capabilities, in various light and weather conditions.
The kit preserves a similar user interface and basic functionalities of the original TPN periscope, but with major improvements. The thermal channel provides enhanced capabilities for extreme weather and impaired visual conditions such as fog, rain and snow. Elbit Systems’ technical team is in direct contact with the customer for fast and simple installation-keeping integration in-house.
The customizable kit can be seamlessly integrated with a variety of tanks and has a range of options such as display monitors.
