A unique in-service, operational, 24/7 UGV surveillance solution Elbit Systems’ HOUND is a comprehensive UGV security system designated for use in 24/7 border patrols, observation missions and a diverse range security and surveillance scenarios.
The system provides safe, autonomous, unmanned operation of advanced surveillance, communication and weapons systems. These unique features take security patrol capability to unprecedented levels of safety. Operable remotely by 1 – 3 personnel, the system can be supplied as a complete turnkey solution or as an add-on unmanned capability to an existing formation of patrol or reconnaissance vehicles.
The system is designed to operate on a standard wheeled vehicle upgraded for autonomous unmanned operation.
A 7.62 or 12.7mm remote-controlled weapon station, communications system equipped with EO payload,
mast mounted observation pod, 360° situational awareness system and operator control unit (OCU) can be supplied as needed.
The system incorporates certified obstacle avoidance capability and can be operated in unmanned autonomous, semi-autonomous and tele-operated mode. Tethering to manned vehicle using Follow-Me mode is
also available.
