Elbit Systems to Showcase Capabilities at Paris Airshow 2023

Elbit Systems will participate at the Paris Airshow at Le Bourget between 19-25 of June 2023 and showcase solutions and highlight progress of mature systems.

At its stand at D64 in Hall 3, Elbit Systems will present a range of cutting-edge technological solutions that help address both current and emerging operational needs of armed forces and commercial aviation.

Debuting at the show:

Nano SPEAR– an advanced, digital and miniature system designed as a countermeasure against radar-guided air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles that threaten aircrews and their platforms and a New RWR Electronic Warfare (EW) capability as part of its Unified EW suite that enables drone detection and identification as well as locating Personal Location Beacon (PLB) of ground forces and pilots.

Among the mature solutions that will be presented at Elbit’s stand include:

Unified Modular Airborne EW Self-protection Suites

A pioneer in the field of Electronic Warfare (EW), the Company is a primary source of EW suites for the Israel Air Force and for many other Air Forces around the world ‒ integrating Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), Laser Warning Systems (LWS), IR Missile Warning Systems (MWS), Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) and Countermeasure Dispensing System (CMDS) and providing a unified and modular EW self-protection suite.

This unified open architecture EW suite incorporates operationally proven capabilities such as IR-CENTRIC™ multi-function, multi-mission capabilities and re-programming tools that significantly shorten re-programming, the sensor-to-shooter loop and boost mission execution for crew and platform survivability.

Elbit’s EW systems are installed on over 30 types of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft of both Western and Eastern origin and deployed in numerous countries across five continents.

MUSIC™ family of Directional Infrared Counter Measures (DIRCM) for protection against shoulder launched air to surface missiles include: The mini-Music is a compact and advanced system with a powerful laser for small to medium helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. The compact, lightweight system has a powerful fiber laser for efficient operation and a thermal camera for accurate acquisition and tracking. J-Music facilitates effective, reliable, affordable protection for medium and large jet aircraft against missile threats by integrating advanced laser technology along with a high frame-rate thermal camera and a small dynamic high-speed sealed-mirror turret. C-MUSIC provides powerful DIRCM protection against MANPADS for large jet aircraft. It is Civil Aviation Authority certified, laser-based, fully automatic and autonomous system that provides large jet aircraft with comprehensive protection against advanced heat-seeking ground-to-air missiles.

Unmanned Aerial Systems

Elbit Systems’ Hermes 900 UAS is able to detect ground or maritime targets over a wide spectral range. The Hermes 900 provides over the horizon, persistent multi-payload capabilities. It has been procured by the IDF and over a dozen countries around the globe. The Hermes 900 Starliner, with the first ever dual military and civilian certifications for a UAS, can also perform ground support and maritime patrol missions for both naval customers and civilian government agencies.

Airborne Solutions

Elbit Systems’ Digital Network Avionics (DNA) solution provides next-generation capabilities and mission superiority. Leveraging a suite of products and applications, DNA enables sensor fusion, collaboration and communication, seamless avionics and an initutive UX. Together with AI-driven decision support systems (DSS) and advanced tactical aids (EW, MUM-T, PGM, etc), DNA changes the rules of the game and transforms the aerial battlefield by providing a comprehensive and initutive situational picture. Delivering clear, analyzed data and AI-based recommendations to all users through intuitive tools, Elbit Systems’ Digital Network Avionics ensures superiority in the face of ever-advancing operational challenges.

X-Sight advanced helmet-mounted display reduces pilot workload and improves situational awareness. Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) provides the pilot with “first look, first shoot” high off-boresight weapons engagement capabilities. Large Area Display (LAD) integrates flight and mission data into a single, smart and redundant display with superb optical performance and unique user interface. The SkyTouch end-to-end, multifunctional Planning, Command and Control solution. Xplore Airborne Imaging RADAR DVE terrain and obstacle mapping. Condor-MS™ next generation multi-spectral camera for strategic aerial reconnaissance

Commercial Aviation Systems:

ClearVision™:  A complete Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) combining our Overhead Mounted HUD or the Skylens™ Wearable HUD, with our multispectral Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) sensor and Synthetic Vision display (SVS). ClearVision is civil certified for touchdown and Rollout delivering operational credits for efficiency and mission availability. This solution enables intuitive flying with unprecedented situational awareness minimizing the dependency on airport and helipad instruments in poor visibility. ClearVision supports easy installation for platforms upgrades and retrofits.

C4I, Cyber and Communication Solutions

Torch-X™ Air – an integrated solution to support the tactical air control and air defence operational processes. The solution creates an Aerial Common Operational Picture (ACOP) for tactical air coordination. Designed to improve airspace sovereignty, the end-to-end system enables commanders to plan, evaluate, conduct and control strategic and operational aerial missions.

Precision Guided Munitions

RAMPAGE long range supersonic air-to-ground precision strike missile, features high survivability, operational flexibility and enables salvo strikes against high value targets.

REST (Range Extension and Smart Tail) guidance kit for extended range precision strikes with general purpose warheads.

The MPR Family of Multi-Purpose Rigid warheads feature high penetration capabilities and effective controlled fragmentation for airstrikes against a wide range of fortified and open terrain ground targets.
