In order to maintain compliance, we continually review global and local updates in EHS regulations and monitor current legislative initiatives.

Management approach to EHS:
Environmental – Elbit Systems recognizes the potential environmental impacts of our ongoing operations. We regularly conduct activities that reduce our environmental impact, including measures to reduce electricity, fuel and water consumption, reduce our emissions, avoid pollution and maximize waste management and recycling.
Elbit Systems environment management system is certified for ISO 14001:2015.
Health – Elbit Systems employs thousands of employees globally. As a responsible employer, our goal is to provide a healthy work environment for our employees, suppliers, service providers, contractors and others who may be working at our facilities. Mandatory health examinations are conducted routinely for employees that work under conditions that may pose potential health issues.
We offer employees the opportunity to participate in designated health insurance programs.
Safety – Elbit Systems operations include a range of development, manufacturing, testing, logistics and support activities. Therefore, we are committed to best practice precautionary procedures as well as implementing emergency preparedness systems at all our sites. We strive to minimize risks, prevent hazards and enhance a safe environment for all our employees and any other person working at each facility or operation under our responsibility.

- Commitment to comply with applicable legal requirements, customer requirements and standards adopted by the Company.
- Generate a safe and healthy work environment for employees and others working at our facilities in routine and emergency situations, and prevent accidents and occupational illness by identifying and evaluating hazards, and reducing them to an “acceptable level” (in compliance with ISO 45001).
- Preserve environmental resources, reduce ecological footprints and prevent environmental pollution, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Incorporate EHS issues into the Company’s business processes, including our supply chain and mergers and acquisitions activities, and set proactive goals and plans for continuous improvement in performance and management practices.
- Train and deploy EHS best practices across all organizational levels, encourage employees and managers to report hazards, potentially hazardous situations, accidents and near-miss incidents.
- Maintain open and transparent communication channels between the Company and external stakeholders, as well as information sharing and consultation processes with employees on EHS issues.
