In today’s modern aircraft cockpits, Large Area Displays (LADs) are added to the front panels, making it essential that Head-Up Displays (HUDs) are as thin as possible with low-profile necks.
Elbit Systems with more than 5 decades of experience, having delivered thousands of HUD systems, integrated on various aircraft types – has developed ULTRA-HUD to address these requirements.
Representing a substantial leap forward in performance compared with conventional HUDs, ULTRA-HUD provides an extremely narrow neck profile as well as 50% smaller volume and 30% lighter weight, enabled by Elbit Systems’ proprietary optical waveguide technology.
This advanced technology also ensures a highly optimized and uniform image, with no artifacts and negligible planar distortions under a harsh environmental envelope.Â
The ULTRA-HUD’s all-digital display components create a high-resolution, super-bright, wide field-of-view display, with a significantly larger Eye Motion Box. Crisp and clear symbology and sharp sensor imagery, are visible to pilots under Under day or night and are NVG-compatible.
Easy to integrate into existing and future cockpits, ULTRA-HUD is an ideal match for cutting-edge wide-area displays.
